Casey Allan
Casey is a native of Washington, growing up her entire life in the shadow of the Mount Rainier. This is reflected in the amount of local knowledge she retains. She loves the diversity of the state and the amount of outdoor activities that are available because of that diversity.
Casey is also an avid sea kayaker and even spent a summer as a guide in the San Juan’s where she even learned more about the local area as well as the local fauna and flora. Casey also enjoys writing and photography and she finds there are numerous subjects to study for both in the Pacific Northwest.
She also has a passion for cooking, which is evident when you dine at her breakfast table. She shares Nathan’s mission of making your stay memorable, while constantly working on new menu’s for breakfast so you can rest assured every stay will be a new experience.
Nathan and Casey were married on May 14th 2006 in a small intimate ceremony with immediate family and friends at the Orcas Hotel on beautiful Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. It really was the perfect wedding and exceeded our dreams and wishes.
Our Family
One of the many reasons we decide to buy a Bed and Breakfast was so we could both be at home when we started a family.
Past guests have asked for updates on Casey’s pregnancy in 2007 when we were having twins. Well, Lauren Maxine Beryl Allan was born exactly a year after her brothers Charlie and Jackson were born. We think it was meant to be! We then added Evan Franklin Allan to the mix in July 2010, he is named after his brothers. Although we may be somewhat insane, we decided one more baby was needed in the family and welcomed Sophie Olive Allan to the family in August of 2012.
For guests who worry about a screaming kids, don’t! When we built our extension, we sound proofed their room and playroom. That does not mean that during the day you will not hear our children. They are learning to be respectful of our guests need for peace and quiet, however often guests ask and get to meet them during their stay. You may see them running around in the rose garden, it is their “safe” area to play and be kids.
We even have a family friendly two bedroom suite to our Inn, which was open in July of 2018, it is called the Puget Suite. We think it adds the missing element to the Bed and Breakfast. A family friendly suite and totally separate to the other guest rooms. It allows families (just like ours) to still have a bed and breakfast like experience, without worrying about disturbing other guests.
